1. Meta tags (SEO) β€” βœ… Already works, nothing left to build

Yoast SEO hooks into wp_head() to inject its own title tags, meta descriptions, OG tags, and schema β€” and our theme correctly calls wp_head() and doesn’t hardcode any conflicting <title> tag (WordPress/Yoast fully controls it). This works independently of whether a page is coded or built in Elementor.

  • For About/Programs/Membership/Trainers/Contact/Blog: she’ll see a Yoast meta box on each Page’s edit screen the moment it exists β€” full control there already.
  • For the homepage specifically: since it’s not tied to an actual “Page” object (it’sΒ front-page.php, WordPress’s special homepage template), she’d set its SEO title/description viaΒ Yoast SEO β†’ Search Appearance β†’ General β†’ HomepageΒ instead of a per-page box β€” a different screen, but fully functional.

I believe this already works correctly given our setup β€” worth her just testing it (change the homepage meta description in Yoast, save, view page source to confirm).

2. Changing images β€” ❌ Not yet, on any page

Every image right now is a hardcoded Unsplash URL sitting directly in the PHP template files (front-page.php, page-about.php, etc.) β€” not pulled from the WordPress Media Library. She has no way to swap these without editing code, on any of the 6 pages, homepage included.

3. Editing content blocks β€” ❌ Not yet, on any page, same reason

Same root cause as #2: the actual pages are still running on the original hand-coded templates, not on the Elementor widgets I built. The widgets (Hero, Feature Grid, Pricing Table, etc.) exist and are fully capable of exactly what you’re asking β€” but nobody has actually gone into wp-admin and rebuilt each page with them yet, following BUILD-GUIDE.md. Until that one-time rebuild happens per page, the widgets sitting in the theme don’t do anything for the live pages.

The one real step left

Someone needs to actually rebuild the 5-6 pages in Elementor using the widgets, per the build guide β€” that’s what flips images and content from “hardcoded, needs a developer” to “she can edit anything, anytime.” I can’t do that step myself (it’s manual drag-and-drop in the live Elementor editor, not something I can write as a file) β€” but I can walk you through doing the first page together right now if you want to get started, or clarify anything in the build guide that’s unclear.
